About Us
Leeds-based DRS Software was founded in 2015 by Stefano De Rossi,
after a decade-long international career in academia, that brought him
to Harvard University, the Wyss Institute in Boston, MA, and Waseda
University in Tokyo.
DRS Software was created with one objective in mind: demistyfing the most
complex and innovative software technologies, and bringing their value
to clients with a friendly, approachable attitude.
9 years later, DRS Software is a thriving software solutions specialist,
with customers worldwide, and an international team of highly talented
and driven technical professionals.

Leadership
Stefano De Rossi
Founder, Director
Stefano has been passionate about software since the age of 15, when
he started competing in national and international computer science
competitions.
After obtaining his PhD from SSSA in Pisa, Italy with research at Harvard
University, he spent the next years on a successful international career
in academia, with over 40 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters,
as well as 15 patents. Stefano has led and contributed to major large-scale
research projects, that secured over $20M in funding. In 2015, he founded
DRS Software, to bring his expertise to clients worldwide.
As Director of DRS, he now drives growth and sets overall direction across
DRS operations. He is also CEO of Leaning Technologies, a world-leading
provider of WebAssembly development tools and solutions.
Martin Nyaga
Lead Software Engineer
Martin is a seasoned software engineer with a wealth of experience
in building high-performance, data-intensive applications, and
specific expertise in WebAssembly.
Prior to joining DRS, Martin co-founded Nobilis Ltd, a software consultancy
where he led distributed agile teams to develop digital products and
business software for clients across East Africa, the UK and Europe.
At DRS, Martin now leads software development, setting the technical
direction and overseeing client projects. He holds an MEng in Chemical
Engineering from the University of Leeds, with a specialty in applied
machine learning.
